You've hit all the marks right on Vitaliy. The points you came up with were the points I was trying to tell another rather optomistic follower of Apple and Google in my investment club.

Interesting thoughts. Are you sure eBay is a great company? The interface is cluttered and ugly with too many useless things taking up a user's time. eBay has a monopoly for the moment. Does that make it a great company? I suppose for some who are greedy that is enough. But GM had a virtual monopoly and they completely wasted it. Same with MSFT. Sony also and Kodak. Apple and Google innovate. These other companies use there lawyers and political connections to dominate. The cell phone companies are like that. Compare the iPhone to the phones you get from any of them. Apple could eventually dial out the cell phone companies by networking with Cisco to make an anywhere in the world internet phone. That would be a great day. Good bye Verizon. In this day and age you can make money honestly like Apple or dishonestly like Boeing, Haliburton and other companies through political maneuvering. The rise of Apple and Google could be the last chance to make money in tech for many years.
